Secure HTTP

Secure HTTP
Abbreviated S-HTTP, S/HTTP, or HTTP-S. An extension to the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), from Enterprise Integration Technology, that allows Web browsers and servers to sign, authenticate, and encrypt an HTTP packet at the application layer.
S-HTTP is not widely used and is being replaced by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
